Her quilt is almost as beautiful as she is. She has the greatest smile.....so proud of herself. I can't wait to teach my granddaughters. My 3 yo keeps saying when she grows up she is going to make big quilts and have big titties just like my Grammy.

Brodie is here for her last day of vacation with me, sad to see her leave. But I look forward to sewing with her again. She loves all of the comments on the board. THANKS so much.

Ohh..both of my granddaughters are older than Brodie, but they've never expressed much interest in sewing anything except for the older one (she's 13). I bought her a Singer Simple a couple of years ago that they still have.
Brodie must have inherited your talent for quilting. She did a great job!

What a bright smile and quilt. Tell Brodie she did great! And kudos to you for passing on a life-long skill. She'll remember you and thank you always for it. Thanks for sharing.

What fun! Nice to go home with a quilt/pillowcase just for her by her.

I've been working with my 8 yo GD too. Posted yesterday what we've been doing. Next project is a knit nightgown at the serger. I've let my GD's play with fabric since they were 2 and 3 years old. They love fabric--I think I may have created good monsters!
