 I love all your colors!!!!! Welcome from St. Joseph, Missouri!!!!! :D You will have soooo much fun putting it together. For my 1st one, I became sad several times when it seemed like things weren't going right. I did what you plan on doing--put it aside for awhile and then pick it back up when you are ready. Your mind, with this website behind you, will go in soooooo many different directions that I just couldn't stand it myself. I hope that you will love quilting as much as I do. I love seeing nature and then turning ideas out there into whatever and wherever my mind takes me for a quilt. You will get to the point where EVERYTHING that you see, you start wondering how you can quilt it or what you could do with this "picture" or "item" or "scene" when put into fabric. It still amazes me!!! Just have fun with it. Even ripping out seams can be fun if you let it! Just remember: there are no failures!!!!! Again, WELCOME! [And I love your friend. I have a 107 pound one just like yours and love him dearly!!!!!] ;-)

That's a great start and the toughest part of the process for me at times. Very pretty choices.

Those are the colors I love. They will make a beautiful quilt. Don't worry about making mistakes. Everyone does. One of the criteria to go by is "if it can't be seen from a galloping horse, it doesn't matter" :) The phrase I use most often is "finished is better than perfect!"
