So just some info: it's 40" x 40" and I made the top around 1995-1997 from some samples of hand-dye fabric (the tiny sqares) and batiks. It was just something to do for play/practice. I could never figure out how to quilt it (by hand). I would periodically drag it out, realize I was still stumped, and put it away. I'd never sent something to a longarm quilter before, but when I saw Charisma's amazing work, I thought she might be able to make something out of this troubled top. I never expected this excellent result! Far exceeds anything I could imagine for it let alone do myself. Uh, I will be sending more her way, for sure!

Always enjoy the work you post. On a little one, sometime, I think it would be fun to see the quilt before and after the quilting is done- just to see the difference that the quilting has on a piece. I enjoyed a book once where the same quilt was made several times, then quilted in different patterns and compared. I was amazed at the variations the quilting alone can make!

Believe me, in this case especially, the quilting makes the quilt. Was just some colorful sqares inside squares before Charisma quilted it. I think we could send her rags to quilt and they'd come out gorgeous.
