Put small tree blocks within the house strip to add the extra width and the flag needs a pole.

Take out one of the big houses and make two smaller houses to fill in.

A town house is a great idea! I agree with the others too...with the LC block spacers added anywhere will work out just fine! Its gonna be so pretty when you are done..its a cool pattern!

If you love old quilts, they have all sorts of mistakes, creative fixes and that makes them unique. Love them. You'll find a way to fix this that will make it uniquely your quilt. Be creative.

If you add a narrow strip to each side of the houses, make the top of the strip with a different fabric into a triangle to give the houses a 3-D look.

There are some really creative ideas in this thread. My favorite ideas is adding tress in between the houses. Once you decide which one to use, no one will ever know the difference. This is going to be a beautiful quilt!

Do you have your house row all sewn together into one strip? It looks like you have.
Are your log cabins still individual blocks?
I think, once you sew your log cabins together the houses and cabins will all match up beautifully. It always amazes me to see the difference in the rows when I start attaching the blocks to each other. Inches disappear!
If the above is not true then go with some "coping" strips! A coping strip is a quilter's best friend!
P.S. It's going to be a lovely quilt when you're finished.

Quiltforme, I'm sorry. It was late when I was studying this last night and I neglected to mention that I love your blocks! LCs are my most favorite quilt block and yours are beautiful. Can't wait to see what it looks like when re-done. DIane
