    Maple Leaves....quilted by Charisma

Brenda sent this quilt to me for LAQ. This is pieced and needle turned applique..aren't those vines beautiful?!

B made this for her daughter's wedding quilt..her SIL is Canadian so she requested that I quilt some maple leaves in the quilt somehwere..so I used bigger maple leaves all around the borders and vines.

I love the fall appeal of this quilt and the bright green that gives it some WOW! Great Job Brenda!

What a great job both of you have done. The quilting really makes the applique stand out. That pattern in the applique is called tobacco leaves isn't it? I love how the quilting has given the quilt such nice texture. Her color choices with the browns really made the green stand out. A lovely quilt.

Great work by all. I just love needle turn applique ... I just don't have the patience for doing it. .. so when I see someone elses work with needle turn I am just drawn to it.. call it quilters envy. I love the green used to give the extra color dimension.

Her little touch of red in the berries and cornerstones sets off the entire quilt. I love her design. And, as always, I love the variety of your quilting patterns throughout this quilt. Each section is treated individually. Thanks for sharing.

I agree that M & M green goes great with the smoldering golden color and brown. It is a lovely pattern and beautiful combo of lights, bright and darks. I love your radiant display and meandering in the white blocks. It's a gorgeous quilt and quilting.
