I finally am getting a finished photo of this Mariners Compass quilt added onto this thread. This is a photo of the quilt on my sister's bed. Also there is a photo of the quilting & label.

I love your quilt. Seeing yours reminded me that I have saved that pattern for the Fons & Porter Mag since 2007. ( the only issue I saved). I hope to start mine in Jan.
Yours looks great! Any helpful hints to this pattern?

Have fun with it! I just organized the cut material pattern pieces in such a way to make them easy access. I spread out the color combos in the individual pattern sizes on batting & slid the batting into a ziplock baggies to help keep organized. I had the baggies marked with the pattern piece info. Hope that helps. I enjoyed making the quilt.

I no longer have the pattern, but you should be able to get a "back copy" from Fons & Porter's 2007 March/ April magazine. Good Luck!! I did alter my pattern on the sizes of all my borders because I was making a quilt to fit a Cal King & the pattern in the magazine was for a queen size. :-D
