Has anyone used the jelly rolls from Connecting Threads? They're pretty reasonable and I've heard the fabric is good. Just wondered.

I stick mostly with moda rolls for that reason of the number of strips. I do know keepsake quilting only puts 35 in their rolls, but they do make that clear in their catalogue. Most of the jelly roll quilt patterns call for forty, to be in line with the moda product.

I love jelly rolls too. Ordered several books, but haven't had a chance to use a pattern yet. Will do some after Xmas.

I just made my first one from the Pam and Nicky Lintott book. Here's the picture.

Please don't mind the feet!

How far does 40 strips get you? I'm hoping the books that I ordered will work out different quilt sizes for me, but I'm just wondering about a ball park range.... will it take 2 or 3 or even 4 jelly rolls to make 1 queen size?

I made a throw size with one jelly roll and there were some strips left.
