Default Millenial Charm Quilt...Lost but not forgotten

My mother-in-law and I both made 2000 charm square millennium quilts...it was such great fun hunting for the fabric...we had the whole family helping to sort out the squares to help insure that we didn't get any repeats in our 2000. My mother-in-law makes beautiful scrap quilts while I more often go with coordinating fabrics...so the charm quilt was super challenging for me. As you can see from the picture, I just couldn't bring myself to randomly place the fabrics and played for hours on my design wall to come up with the pattern using similar colors and tones in a symmetrical fashion. The central motif is based upon the Nebraska Puzzle pattern in cool colors bracketed top and bottom with half-pattern warm colors. I gave the quilt to my daughter when she was she was 10 but over the years she has moved many times and somewhere along the way, the quilt didn't make the move with her. I hope that someone else has found it and is treasuring its warmth. I plan to make another charm quilt to replace this one for her, but I will likely use a completely different design.

It's a shame it's lost but that does give you an excuse to make another one. Great quilt wherever it is!

That is so pretty and so much hard work. I hope whoever found it treasures it.
