Quote: I just finished this pattern in 2 small layer cakes (20 pcs each) in a Riley Blake set of fabrics and I love it!! Goes together really quick and looks great. I have the top pieced but don't have backing or batting on yet.
Would love to see them! Gonna tease us or show us some pics?

Well done, and it looks great in the fabrics you chose but you are right there is no end to options.

love it!i'm making one using 10" batik squares from connecting threads. bought one of their "layer cakes" (which has half the amount of other brands) and my DD liked it so much, she asked me to make it bigger. just got the other fabric in! will be finishing it up and then will give it to her at christmas to take back to collge.

I made a Double Slice Layer Cake with a line of fabric , some with large floral. This is a wonderful pattern to use if you have a whole line - they all work together. And if there are large prints, they're not being chopped into little pieces. Imdon't have mine quilted yet. It's in the pile with 4 baby quilts that need to be quilted.

This is one of those, "Now why didn't I think of that" blocks. I love yours, I have some layer cakes that I wanted to do something a little different than my usual. I will have to whip one out. Thanks for giving the link for us.
