Here is part of what I did at the kitchen table today. I did something else but will post it tomorrow if I can get it finished. Am almost done but the dog started fussing so I had to come back upstairs. It is too big for the upstairs table.

Very pretty. Is there a pattern available for that type of tabletopper? Would sure like to have it.

Thanks. Yes there is. I don't have it handy but I made 4 others that I posted in "Christmas Table Runners." I think the name of the pattern is in there. You need a 60 degree triangle ruler, but it is very easy to make. I make mine with the backing as binding; the directions tell you to stitch all around and turn and then topstitch.

Pretty runner. I want to make a few of these soon. Have the pattern and fabric. Now just got to get the motivation.

My youngest son is single and has his own home. I made runners for the girls, daughter and daughters-in-law. Since I probably won't be making anyone big gifts I decided to make a runner for his dining room table. It is smoked black glass with gold flecks in it, very contemporary. When I saw the musical theme I thought that would work for him, not too feminine and has black in it. It's probably the only Christmas decoration he will have in the house.

This table runner looks VERY similar to one I've made, found the pattern at Timeless Treasures site a while ago.
Hope this helps - have fun.

Absolutely gorgeous. Very neutral and should be perfect for your son's table.
