I made my first denim quilt in the early 1980's last I knew it was still in service :!: Nephews have also gotten denim graduation quilts in the 90's and they are still being used. Do a search on the QB for denim and you will find lots of info as well as Google search for "denim quilt" or "blue jean quilts" about.com has info on the circle denim quilt posted in another thread. PS the rag quilts shed lint in the dryer big time!

Question - would I need a walking foot to top-stitch the circle quilt? I still haven't gotten one...

I think there is a tutorial on Missouri Star Quilt. They used flannel backing, stitched each square, and then assembled them. Looked really neat. They did another with minkee fabric, but I think that is much harder to use as it slips and slides easily.
