This is a quilt that I saw hanging up in a local hospital. I fell in love with the pattern and spent 2 years trying to find the maker.

I finally did and it turns out that she just used a pattern that she had and added the setting triangles.

It's not a pattern but I have figured out a way to do it

'lo again - back for another look! Wiping the drool off my keyboard. :-D It really is stunning, if I look one way I see hearts and blink and look again, suddenly it's zig zags, and the way the colours fade and blend into each other..; did I say, I LOVE it? :-D

Once I heard from the woman that made the quilt, I found out that all she did was make the hearts and then sew them together with the different triangles.

I have drafted a layout on graph paper and have kind of figured out how to put it together(it's going to be difficult as you have to add the blocks but not completely finish the seam so that you can add another block to it)

If anyone would like to have a copy of what I drafted to look at, send me your snail mail address and I'll get copies made to send out

Stunning! I have always loved bright colors. Are you making yours the same size? Looks wonderful to snuggle up in.

    Oops, sorry

It was behind a piece of protective plexiglass and that had the printing on it.

I have recently got EQ6 and am thinking it must be possible to draft a layout in that. The question is, am I up to doing it or not? I'll give it a go and of course, share any useful results. I'd love to see what you've drafted but I live in France and hate to ask you to mail international; I guess you don't have the facility to scan in and send by email or post here as a jpeg?

This is such a neat quilt. Love how the longer you look at it the more you see. The color variations are great. Seems simple enough, sort of. Look forward to further posts.

Okay, here is a picture of the draft that I did

If you can see the red dash lines, those are completed quilt blocks. The green dashes are where you can join the 2 different block types together

Very, very gorgeous quilt. I see the construction idea, and think I will give it a try. Do you have the maker's name? I would like to give credit on the label I put on it. Thanks!!

Does the construction seem logical to you? It was about the only way that I could figure it out. The lady that made the quilt made up the individual heart blocks, and then put them together with the setting triangles. That seemed like to much work for me.

    Her name is Rosaline Lees.

Let me know if you see anything else as far as any other kind of shortcuts or insights you might have.
