It is very beautiful but how would you fold it without mashing the ribbon work?

That is beautiful, I love the ribbon work. The only thing I have ever seen that was grander was a quilt that was on display at a first annual show in Birch Run, Michigan. There was much more ribbon work and it was spectacular. The quilt was to be auctioned for a charity, I can't imagine that it could ever go for what it was worth. A woman who was supervising the quilt said the maker spent over 80 hours on each block. I should have taken a bunch of pictures, it was breathtakingly beautiful.

What a beautiful treasure for someone! I would have a hard time trying to decide which side is front or back.
