Your quilt is beautiful and I love the colors. I'm sure this will make your MIL's Christmas most special. She is lucky to have a kindhearted DIL.

I was raised with the heavy quilts and couldn't understand why my DH can't abide them.....he prefers down....Oh Well.... I like the heavy ones, but I've learned that not all people do, so I pretty much use a poly or lighter batting, preferably the 80/20 so I can at least, get a little "crinkle". Bet your MIL will like the smaller lighter quilt too.

Nice to be able to give something back to your MIL. She probably doesn't want to lift those 40 pounders any more!
