This project developed from the tute posted on here by Toomuch fabric so thanks for that! I made the pinwheel blocks and the folded squares reminded me of prairie point construction so I made some of those too ! Then the pinwheels made me think of those brightly coloured foil kids' windmills on sticks that I used to be bought as a treat at the seaside when I was a child - my local beach was pebbley hence the pebble quilting around the windmills and the ribbons in the outer border are just blowin' in the breeze! It's 32" square and designed to be a wall hanging. The title means 'red windmills' in French. :-D Oh PS, thanks BW for most of the fabric! :-DANd I'm sorry the pic is so rubbish!

Love your pinwheel. The design in the red fabric actually makes them look like they are turning.

Thank you, I liked the curves too! But hadn't exactly spotted that effect, though I see it now you point it out. :-D I also thought the pattern of the fabric was a little like beach balls but maybe that's too fanciful! 8-)

This is a wonderful quilt. I love red, and your pinwheels are just fabulous.
The images and associations in your work make this a very special memory quilt. The very best reason to make one!
