Great gift idea. I love the birds & the gnome. Did you have a pattern or design those yourself?

Maybe a larger present from the whole class would be a more thoughtful thank-you.
I know that as well which is why I don't give mugs and trinkets. Gift cards are nice but I've gotten them from others and hated them. What one person thinks is a great place is another person's worst. I'm not a fan of gift cards. Usually I make a pair of market totes and out supplies in them. Teachers here have to buy most of their own supplies. The cupcakes were a huge hit and it made sense for the rugs to go with a snack.

At the 6th grade level very few gifts are given. I don't know if any other mother that sent in gifts to any of the teachers. They were very appreciative. I also don't agree with the big gift either. It's impersonal and our school system limits the cash value of a teacher gift so you can't go that route.

I think it was a good gift and the teachers really liked them.

I did not know what a mug rug was until I joined this QB. I did receive one from a doll quilt exchange and am glad to have it. Love hot tea. Those are very neat and teachers do get lots of STUFF! Home made food is the BEST!!!! Hugs
