Thread: My "Modern Frenchy" from French Roses Pattern

    I love the French Roses pattern and wanted to make one, but I am not fond of pastels. I decided to make mine with more modern bright fabrics, and to not make it exactly like the pattern. So here it is. I added the pink and orange bands across the center, and I made the inside border differently. My friend Corey Starkey is a long armer in Bakersfield, and she quilted it for me. I am trading some piecing for her for the quilting.

    I love how it came out. I am thinking of entering it in our guild quilt show in January 2012.

    Very nice. My dd did her's in different shades of red and also one with each flower in same color, but different shades of that color. I did mine in pastels.
