After finishing my D4P patch I took my 9 1/2 inch square ruler and marked the center of it. Then I put the center of the ruler on the center of the square and carefully rotated the ruler making sure the 2 centers stayed lined up. Then I took my rotary cutter and cut all the way around the square ruler. I actually wasn't sure I was going to like it tilted like that...but I was pleasantly surprised at the results! Thanks for asking!

We all are given about 1/2 yard of white fabric at the beginning of the year to use for each block so that at least all the blocks have some of the same fabric in them to tie them all together at least to some degree.

The theme for this month is use your UGLIEST fabric to make a block. My "ugliest" fabric is a multi-brown and has no white in it. So I figured that I ought to make a more "contemporary" looking block that would compliment the stark contrast of the fabrics.

What do you think? I played around with this and just had fun!
Thanks for looking!
Nothing ugly about that!!!! Love it; may have to copy your idea!!!!
