My $3 yard sale find

yes, it's a 403. My mom got one in 1957. It was a workhorse. I wish I knew what happened to it.
It folded down into a cabinet and had an upholstered stool. The seat lifted up and held her cams and the manual.

I have that same machine, I am the 3rd owner. My mom got it used in the early 60's. When I graduated H.S. '74, she got a newer machine & this one was my graduation gift.
It's a workhorse. I'm sure you will find a manual online, but if not, I will scan mine.

I bought my Singer like this new when my children were just starting school, the children now in 50's and the machine still going strong and never had a serviceman. The cams go in the top, you can send a msg to Singer Co and ask if they have a manual available. I did that for my find of a l927 I think it is. Got that as it was part of the display by antique dealer at a craft show, paid I think $120 and that was several years ago.
