I just wish these old pieces could tell their stories of how they came about and how they ended up in a yard sale. Glad to know you rescued it.

I do wish that I had asked for more info on the quilt. I could never find the house again if I tried. Trust me. I will make it a good home.

As an avid applique quilter my jaw is hanging and I am insanely jealous!! :>) That was not an easy piece to applique if it was done by hand. Good find, hang on to it and consider having it appraised. You'll be VERY pleasantly surprised.

Congratulations on your awesome find. This should also be a good reminder of why we should always label our quilts/creations. Wouldn't it be wonderful if you knew who had spent so many hours creating this beautiful piece? I'm so glad it's found a good home with you!

Makes me happy for you but sad to think that someone put so much into that quilt and how the previous owner didn't value it. I am so glad that someone who appreciates and understands all of the work involved is now it's new owner.

Whoa! This one is worth at least $500! Lucky for you and too bad for them, they did not know what they had! Glad a quilter who can respect it's beauty has it now!

Lovely, lucky you! A few years ago we lost an aunt and her kids sold all of her quilts for $5 each before my mother (her sister) got there. My mother still cries about them. I guess if you are not a quilter you just don't understand it. The good thing is this quilt has gone to a home that will appreciate it!
