Thread: My 1st Block!

    This is silly but my first attempt at a traditional block.
    My favorites are the Ohio Star and the Log Cabin so this was my first attempt. I couldn't get the points to match up because I didn't know about the "scant 1/4" seam etc. and not real good at choosing fabrics so I just used some scrap fabrics to try it. I will learn!

    I like the log cabin also but It has been a long time since I did one.

    Thanks, Deb and everyone, I know right now the thought of making an entire quilt is still on the scarey side but I see that it is just one block at a time like everything else;)

    you fabric is good and the points are pretty good, too. you'll get better and better as you make more. keep going.

    Beautiful, looks great to me, just keep making them and suddenly you will have enough for a quilt. Anything worth doing takes time and work. Great start.

    Your points look pretty matched to me- as I gallop by. Don't be hard on yourself - looooooks good.
