Oh yes, that I would keep covered. It is beautiful and I would not want to get ketchup on it.

It's gorgeous! I wouldn't cover it with plastic, but I would cherish and take care of it forever, and the pass it on Plastic sucks.

I'm with Debra on this.
I use an antique damask tablecloth that belonged to my Great-Grandmother as a young wife, in the 1870's. On those few occasions, I don't allow children, ketchup or clods near my table. It was meant to be used, and I use it with respect, and no plastic. :D
