your quilt is wonderful it doesn't need another boards however there for a sec I thought that the quilt under it was the boarder and I thought how cool is that boarder lolol both quilts are lovely thanks for sharing

I would tie in the centers of the pinwheels and the centers of the cornerstones. You really don't need to tie the corners of the pinwheel blocks since they are so close to the cornerstones. If your batting requires more, I'd go for the center of the sashing rectangles.

I love the old look. You did a great job & many old quilts were just tied. I use crochet thread doubled & a square knot.I would do the center of the pinwheels. & tie the borders randomly.Too many knots might not look so good. After you do the centers you can use your own judgement.This is my recomendation.

beautiful quilt. I would tie each center pinwheel, and corner stones.
then machine stitch around the whole outer edge of the cream border.
