    That is a very touching story Gai and your quilt is fantastic. Love the way you put it together and the pillow was such a treasure for him.

    Loretta, it's stiff ribbon and I just wound and gathered it and stitched it at the bottom. I'm sure there are lots of tutes on the web. It was easy!

    Thank you for sharing this! It was truly touching! You and your family are amazing! It's incredible what you achieved in quilting to please your grandfather. How proud he must have felt at your efforts! My he looked great for his age! The quilt is extraordinaire! What a wonderful story and memories! :thumbup: :thumbup:
