You did a beautiful, loving thing on all of it. aww, too much for my wee mousie heart to take it all in gai! It's just awesome. I love the picture of your grandfather by the bed looking at it.

beautiful quilt and memories, if i could ask a question about photos, how do you keep them from fading when washed, i made one for a friend with a pic of her and her hubby, she has since passed away and her daughter has the quilt but the pic faded away. i can reprint the photo but how can i keep it from fading? any help is appreciated. thank you Denise

Denise, I took them to a special place near here. The process was different than the usual t-shirt imprint, which is fused plastic, which eventually starts to "flake". This process seems to actually "fuse" with the cloth. It was pricy, like I said, but they guaranteed that it would look as good after 50 washings as new, and so far it does. I'm sure there are other places that can do the same process, it will just take some research. I don't think any of the laser or home printer photos will last for more than one or two washings. Good luck.
