Beautiful. That pattern is awesome and those are the perfect fabrics. They just glow. Great job.

It is pretty! I haven't done raw edge reverse applique - I know no (?) edges are turned under, but could you explain in a nutshell the process?? Thanks! Ironing board fabric?? No, I don't THINK so! :-)

Oh..thanks for posting this, I'm always admiring it in your avatar. I think it is spectacular!! No ironing board cover look to it at all, so stop saying that...it just looks great!

You just sew on the lines, then cut away the fabrics close to the stitching, and leave them. That is it! Truly easy. The hard part is marking your fabric, oh yes, and the fun part is choosing the fabric.

That is such an awesome quilt, so glad you shared that with us. No way does it look like ironing board material.

It is done in raw edge reverse applique. I did the face with colored pencil. I was VERY unhappy with the way the silver in the moon came out, it looks like ironing board cover fabric. Worked out fine for my daughter though, since I gave it to her.

I did try this a little earlier, if I messed up somehow, please disreguard.
    Pam:
Thanks for posting this so quickly. This quilt is so beautiful and original. I never heard of raw edge quilting before like this. I will have to look it up. I read your later response on how to do this, how do you keep the edges from fraying?
