    I've pretty much only sewed on cottons, but that silk is just gorgeous. :D

    Sewing the silk really isn't that bad. You just need to have the correct fusible interfacing on the fabric BEFORE you cut your pieces. I have even done a mini with the little leftover pieces from this quilt.

    So clever, thanks for the "show and tell" on the blocks. I love the colours. Have never worked with silk - is the quilt washable? What did you use for batting?

    I haven't really given it much thought, but I do think if I needed to I would wash it carefully by hand. I used bamboo batting in it because I liked the soft texture and weight of it. It quilted just as any other quilt would. I didn't do anything differently.
