    My avatar

I had a request for pictures of my avatar. I'm attaching them. I hope it works!
The link to a post that shows the pattern for the block is: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-133967-1.htm
Scroll down that thread for a picture of how I did the blocks.

Thank-you very much for this. I just bought some gray and now I know exactly where to use it. I've been busy finishing UFO's but I think it's time to take a break and make one of these. I'm going to use 6 1/2" coloured blocks and 2 1/2" strips to frame the blocks. I love simple blocks that give you so much visual impact and I love quilters who are willing to share their work with others!

Beautiful. I love the way you made the blocks flow through all the colors from pink to end with purple. How creative you are. Thanks for sharing.

I love your quilt and the simple line quilting really works here. Outstanding!!
For those who would like to make this quilt ,Judy Martin has a pattern very, very similar called "Newport Beach". It's in her "Scraps" book.

May your stitches always be straight, your seams always lie flat, and your grain never be biased against you.

That is amazing how the gray makes the other colors pop so much. Nice job.
