Thank you for your interest in my avitar. I recently won a 2nd place ribbon at the La County Fair for it. I started the quilt in a class with Pamela Mostek at Road to California in 2007 It is from a her book Scatter Garden Quilts . I finally finished it early this year. I didn't really know how to quilt it when I started so I took a FM machine class in 2008 and still had to work up my confidence. Finally decided it needed to be finished. I was plesantly suprised when It won a ribbon. Hope you enjoy the pictures

Sharon I looked up her book and I just realized that your border is NOT a one piece floral border. It is fussy cut floral appliques??
    Yiu deserve the ribbon!!

That is sooo beautiful. I love the way the flowers break up the border.

Lacybritt you are right about the appliques, but you do use the floral one piece border. You just add the appliques from the same fabric to blend the borders so you don't see the straight seams that you ordinally would. It is a really great technique.
