    The quilt is gorgeous and what a great find with all the feather stitching. I might try to find some fabric similar to the one triangle with the tear and just applique over it. This would keep the original quilt intact for all intents and purposes. I can't believe you found it at Goodwill and only paid $12.00 for it. Amazing find.

    Probably the 70's. I remember wearing dresses made with that type fabric. Mama used the scraps to make quilts. She didn't use batting. She would put flannel on back. I have several dresses that I found upstairs in a closet when Mama passed 2 years ago. I plan to make some more. Mama tied some and some she just quilted around each square. Makes good warm quilts and pretty, too.
