    Default my baby quilt

Isn't this a sweet quilt? It was my baby quilt, and the story I remember is that one of my grandmothers did the embroidery and the other did the hand quilting. I had forgotten all about this quilt until my younger DD mentioned that she had it, so I asked her to bring it over for me to see. I used this quilt with all 4 of my own children, but it is still in pretty good condition. There are a few small holes, and some of the embroidery has disappeared. I haven't decided whether to try to do any repairs. But I have decided to make a more modern replica before I return the quilt to DD. I bought the same vintage applique transfers used in the quilt from an eBay seller. (They must be vintage, because after all, this was MY baby quilt!) I plan to use the same colors for the applique and sashing, but I will quilt mine more heavily on the longarm. I haven't done any applique since I was a teenager, so will have to re-learn the technique. I think this will be a fun project.

Is it embroidered or is it painted. I had a flannel baby blanket that was painted. I still have that.

    It's hand embroidery.

Its an adorable quilt. I understand why it was used to much. Can't wait to see your replica.
