    My "Bargain Quilt" !

Last summer while visiting an out of town quilt shop, I found this wonderful panel called Friendly Folks, it was priced on clearance for only $3.00! I also found the red fabric on sale for $6.00 per yard. The rest of the scrappy fabrics came from my scrap stash. I immediately fell in love with the fabrics, even though I wasn't sure how I was going to make the quilt. After much measuring and figuring on paper, I came up with this design. I must say it just kind of evolved. Keep your eyes open for those bargains!

Very nice design job! I like to work with panels too, it's fun to come up with a unique quilt made from a "cheater" panel!

I usually don't buy cheater panels, but I loved the pictures on this one. It was a real challenge to cut the squares apart and make everything fit!

That is really pretty. You did a good job.
There comes a time in life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh, forget the bad, and focus on the good. So, love the people who treat you right. Think good thoughts for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of LIFE...Getting back up is LIVING...

I'd say a job well done. I really love the design of your quilt. And the fabrics are perfect. What a great way to utilize your bargains.

What are charming quilt. I love that chicken.
I promise not to buy any more fabric until I see something I really like. Or it's on sale. Or I think it might match something.

Love this! You did great making a unique design from the panel. It is very attractive- I have some children's panels I'm contemplating. This is very encouraging to ramp up my thinking-thanks for sharing!
