Update - just done the centre row! Hoorah! Celebrating by stopping for lunch. It's 1.30pm here. The piece is starting to bow a bit then I realised I wasn't alternating the direction I sewed the rows on. THEN I remembered that when I was first doing it, I used my Acufeed (Janome walking foot) even to make the strip sets, and they didn't bow at all. SO will change feet after lunch. Fascinating stuff eh?! LOL

I give you credit for even trying one of these. The book I just got recently has a bargello pattern but it's telling me to ;put it together differently. I heard of the sleeve method. Is that what you are doing? Or are you following a block by block assembly pattern.?

I had to make several different strip sets then I'm sub cutting these, taking individual blocks out and adding others in here and there. It's fairly straightforward, just fiddly. :-D

Just keep plugging away on it and it'll be put together before you realize it. Then you can get back to your Floral Fantasy OBW.
