I brush him everyday. I just noticed I forgot Malamute in that list of relatives in Yukon King. Malamutes manufacture hair daily!

What a purposeful best buddy! He looks very regal and capable of doing a great job for you. I'm sorry that you have need of such a friend, but since you do, he's wonderful!

Yes Malamutes do dispense hair everytime they move. Lots of it. We have 2 of the beautiful critters. Yours is absolutely stunning! What does he weigh? Our male is 130 lbs & the girl is 110 lbs. They stay on top of the air vents in the Summer. And I have to run the vacumn twice a day throughout the house. But? Love the breed. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous furkid. Personally I see more Mal in yours than I do Husky.

    Beautiful boy!
He must be indispensible to you.
When I think of the combination of breeds in him, he is definitely his own dog.

He's a gorgeous big boy! You're lucky to have him. I have a team of sled dogs, all with varying amounts of husky in them. Great dogs!

As a pet groomer, take him to a local groomer, not Petsmart or Petco, and have him bathed and de-shedded. He'll still shed, but not as much. I have a customer with a lab that comes in every 2 weeks for a bath and deshedding and he says the dog rarely drops a hair. Of course, not everyone can afford to do that. If you had your baby done 3 times a year you'd be surprised how much it could help. Maybe someone here could refer you to a good groomer in your area or ask your friends. Of course, if you get to MI, I could help you out, LOL.

My gosh he is beautiful. I understand about dog hair. I have 2 collies and live to serve them I swear! I feel like I was born with a vacuum in my hands!
