Thanks for sharing a great story! Beautiful picture of you with the boys and their quilts. They will treasure them forever. You should be proud of the boys and their parents.

It is so nice when we get a happy surprise like that! They look very handsome and happy in their quilts. Like Erstan 947 I have only had one person let me know (on the QT) that she wasn't a quilt person - appreciate that as I could find something quicker/cheaper that she would love and I didn't spend time & $ on something she didn't want.

That's awesome!! I worry about how young men will react when I give them a quilt. Sounds like you have some very appreciative grandsons.

Lol i was just asked by my grandson to make him another quilt. The first one i made was when he was born which was 23 yrs ago and i gave to him on his 21st birthday. Now he is moving to a northern state very soon and put his order in for a warm quilt. lol I find that males young and old are less picky in recieving quilts. Males want warmth, and females want design.

I made a quilt for my future son-in-law this Christmas and he loved it also. He is doing over his basement into a sport themed man cave, so I made him a quilt using his favorite football team's fabric. Big hit! I guess the guys really do like quilts Good looking grandsons and lovely quilts.

Great reactions from your grandsons...and such beautiful patterns and colors too.
My grands are the same way. They LOVE their quilts. This year all 4 grandsons and granddaughter got quilts and both our children and their spouses got large throw quilts. But then our children and spouses got California kings together that my wife made in only black and whites, they were gorgeous.
