Crummy picture but this is a queen size quilt I just finished, its a lot nicer than the picture. I don't think I will ever make & quilt another big one on my machine, just glad it is finished in time for Xmas, for my daughter. So, that family is done!

the quilt, the colours are a lot nicer than the picture shows

Beautiful quilt. I just love the colors. Yes, it's not fun to machine quilt one this size. I'm only a QIDer, so it was mostly following seams. But it's to get all of that fabric under the domestic machine. I have a Janome MC4000 and a New Home "school machine." Both were equally difficult to manage all that fabric (weight). I've been procrastinating for months to get one completed. Just can't seem to get started on the quilting. You did a fine job. :hunf:

Thanks, all, for the compliments! I think I am loving the quilting part of it. The flower motifs in the middle are kind of sloppy but I loved this meandering that I did around all the outside borders, after the first bit of frustration I relaxed and it went quite well, not perfect stitch size but by the end it was looking pretty good. Next time I am going to use a thread that contrasts & will show up a bit more (watch, I say that & my meandering will probably be horrible! Anyway, thanks to all of you on the board, I am feeling more confident (and addicted) every day. Amazing how a group like this can bolster a person's confidence and inspire so much.
