What a great idea--esp. for the smaller ones (I think I have two small ones that I don't really use because they are worn and also small).

Happy Birthday hope you had a great day and I love your present. Why can't we use the cutting line on the mat? I have done so in the past but now I have a new ruler and it's a great tool for me. http://www.westalee.com.au/adj_rulers.php

It certainly looks like you needed a new mat. Congrats on your birthday & your new gift.

Red face old cutting mats

When my cutting mats get too worn - usually in the centre of course - I cut them in half and reuse them - as the new centre is 'off side'. Then when that piece is worn out I cut them again and they become 'lap mats' on a board I use for my applique. Waste not, want not!!
