You have such determination and amazing skills. Well done. The quilting sets it off so beautifully too.

Beautiful is not descriptive enough....how long did it take to quilt it?

Thanks Kathy. I hand quilted the center blocks and the pieced tris. Hand quilting the pieced blocks took a couple of months (I think)...and the pebbling on the border took probably about 20 hrs. +/- a little.

You and Leslie have me wanting to hand quilt the squares...this forces me to learn! I have signed up for a class on 3/24!

It goes pretty quickly Rach, and its easier than having a big quilt in a frame. You can take a stack of the blocks along with the batting and just sit and stitch...holding them in your hand.

So you quilted them then sewed the quilt top together? You're quilt just keeps getting better. I have been in love with Jane since I first saw her but was put off by thinking I would never get it quilted. PLEASE share with us how you put the blocks together after you quilted them. I am so excited.

rob , I didn't come up with the technique, Lacelady (here on the board) taught us to do it in the Cyber Sew. Here is a link to the pages where she was showing us how to do it. It really worked out well on this because the blocks are little and you really don't have to have the batting quilted any closer.
