it only interfaces with EQ6 but i have EQ5 and the DJ software functions just like EQ but as a stand alone software for me.

i'm coloring all my blocks now. i'm up to row F.

i don't plan on getting EQ6 until christmas.

Hey KLue - does the Dear Jane software let you put your fabric in? Will I be able to scan my fabrics, then use them in the design?

yes, you can scan your fabric in.

i haven't done that since the software has a large selection of red and white that looks like my fabric.

i'm getting so excited about the project. i decided to go with red/white instead of black/brights because i think the red/white is more of a classic vs. the trendy black/brights.

I'm sure it will be fabulous. I love your red/white fabrics - quite pretty. Have you seen anything like it with my fabric choices in the software?

you could get away with everything in the library except that red/brown/blue fabric.

i don't really see anything the is close to that but there are others fabrics with those colors just a different pattern.

so you would really only have to scan 1 fabric in if you wanted to.

you and me both. i think we should do a DJ sampler swap that way we get some practice in.

we could all end up with a table runner.

LOVE your fabric choices! Please keep everyone updated on your progress. It's a labor of love from what I understand.

Oh, I really wish I hadn't seen those, Klue. They're beautiful... I might "have" to look for some myself.

Love, love, love your fabics/colors! Can't wait to see some of the blocks. I'd love to do this one too, but I already have two quilts that I'm working on now and fabric for another. Just not enough time.
