    The "shadow" is the seam allowance showing with the sunlight behind its.. No special effects. I like the shadow effect too but does not show up unless the sun is behind the quilt.

    wow that is beautiful I have been looking I'm books and on here trying to find out what pattern I wanted to start with and u have made my mind up for me I was thinking about this but everyone kept saying it is to hard for a first quilt but I have always loved a challenge so this is it TY . Yours is absolutely beautiful.
