I'm thinking 56 years is amazing until I realized this is my 56th anniversary too. Shsssh, my husband didn't get a quilt for his but I've made him a couple that his wouldn't part with.
Go ahead and be proud and shout it to the mountain top that you made an exquisite heirloom. The entire quilt from start to finish is exceptional. The amount of time and creativity you put into this quilt is mind boggling. Thanks so much for sharing your story and the quilt.
