My Estate Sale HAUL
#22
WOW! I have never seen such a huge haul from one sale before. Blessings to you for helping the estate price items more appropriately. I am sure the person(s) that bought the quilts is saying they got the deal of a life time right now and not thinking about whether it was honest or not. I think that perhaps the family sold to you not just because of your honesty and integrity, but because their loved one's things were going to someone that cared about her passion as much as she did and they wanted YOU to have them. I know that would be how I'd feel.

It's always sad to hear when a talented quilter has passed away and the remaining family has no interest in carrying it on. I have attended several estate sales over the past few months where exactly that has happened and my 'hauls' have been beyond extraordinary.

I'm so glad you found this sale and saved them from giving the things away. I wonder if it wouldn't make sense for those of us getting on in years to pencil in a price on some things and perhaps make a master list with prices for templates, cutters, tables, machines, etc. If we have family we could give it to one of them for safe keeping and they would know the value of our "junque" as some in my family call it.
If you're not a quilter you just have no idea of the worth of things we have.
