I just love the featherweight machines. I've been wanting one to carry back and forth, from AL to FL, when I make my monthly trips. Being the featherweight is so light, it will be easy for me to carry on my trips. Now, I can work on my quilting while I'm out of town. Also, I will leave her upstairs and can work on quilts up here, when I don't feel like going down to my sewing room in the basement. My husqvarna is too heavy to haul up and down the stairs. Now I can sew/quilt, no matter what floor I'm on in the house. Billie said she's a 1947. This picture, taken with my cell phone, does not do her justice. She is absolutely gorgeous. She has been thoroughly cleaned, lubricated, and is ready to work. She sews like a dream. I am ecstatic!!! I haven't named her yet. Still thinking on that one. I'm sure the right name will come to me, once she and I start sewing together.

I outbid the next highest bid by a quarter...yep, a quarter. I'm so excited. I got her for $225.80. His bid was $225.55. I need to get off the computer and get acquainted with just how well she can sew.

She is adorable. Did she come all cleaned or did you have to do it?

NO, I didn't pay a quarter, my bid won by a quarter. I beat the other bidder out by a quarter. I paid $225.80 for her. The next highest bid was $225.55. I started to not bid that much but went for it. I hit enter in the last 3 seconds, then confirm. Won her in the last second of the bid.
