    My finished projects

My aunt passed and my uncle gave me half her fabric stash and my mom the other half. Since I had no fabric, and my mom already had a stash, I ended up with more than half the fabric. What came out of it were a few projects that I've recently finished. (1) The tumbler quilt, king size, was finished end of December in a matter of a couple months. It was a quilt in a box and the tumblers were already cut with fabric already chosen. (2) The patriotic set, lap quilt and pillow, was using a panel I found at my daughter's school and adding to it with fabric from my new stash. I auctioned it in the school auction in March. (3) finally, the log cabin, was a scrappy quilt from the company my aunt bought most of her fabric so I didn't choose the fabric for this one either. This is the only quilt my uncle wanted from his wife's stash. I was all too happy to put it together. It is missing the binding because my mom is putting on the binding. It will be dark blue. The backing is the outer boarder. This is the picture from the quilter.

Lovely quilts! I really love the tumbler... with the darks and lights alternated as they are, it really sparkles!

I really like the tumbler quilt - the fabric choices are great!

I like the other two items, too- but the tumbler caught my eyes!

Nice work. I love them and I hope the school made a lot of $$ on the auction. I love the Tumbler and I have never made one. I am inspired now!

Your quilts are beautiful. I have never been a big fan of the tumbler pattern, but, yours is beautiful because of the colors chosen. It looks perfect in that setting. I am always a fan of LC quilts and your scrappy project is very pretty. Nice use of your special gift.

You do beautiful work and all are a wonderful combination of color and design. Like quilterpurpledog, I have never been a fan of the tumbler, but yours is amazing with its alternate light/dark setting. Hope the patriotic one was a success at the auction. Your uncle must have been so pleased with the finished log cabin, a lovely memento of his wife and the kind niece that gifted it.

Super quilts...what a great way to use up your aunt’s stash. While I think all three are wonderful, I really admire your log cabin finish. Great job.

Please accept my condolences on the passing of your aunt. You've done her honor by the marvelous quilts. The king size tumbler is so charming in its colors and it complements the mission style bed frame so well. Your flag quilt is so delightful, I may save this post to try to imitate it one day. And the log cabin is a ray of sunshine. Well done!

Your aunt would have been very proud of how you used her stash & so glad that your uncle requested a quilt from her fabrics.
