Her area of expertiese is the pottery and ceramics of the ancient cultures of Central Mexico. She is now working on her PhD disertation. A lot of what she does is over my head.. She has to dumb it down when she talks to me, but it is so fun to sit and listen to her talk with her peers....
I guess a subject is interesting if it is your passion. This is her's, mine is textiles....all of them...

I took a weaving class from an old Navajo woman last year... what great fun..

Judy, I just add to add my two cents worth as well. The wall hanging is extraordinary---you are one talented lady. I particularly enjoy the movement of the piece, from color to color with the stitching accenting that "movement". It is "very easy on the eyes!!!!!!" :lol:

Judy that is beautiful,You must have been quilting a long time. That is one of the things I have been wanting to try.I love the landscape quilts. But they look very time consuming.
