Welcome to the bargello club!!! If more quilters realized how "relatively easy" they are to make, everyone would be making them!!!
I found it easier to fly by the seat of my pants than to follow a pattern. After a few pointers, like you, I designed my own and put it together. The hardest part for me was the SID quilting. Ugg. Designing and piecing the quilt was exciting!!!
BTW: Yours is beautiful!!! Let the awe and envy fly!!!

Beautiful Bargello .You have every right to be proud. Love the colors.
I still need to add borders (and batting, backing, and binding...) but I'm just so pleased with it I had to take a picture and share! This is my first try at bargello, the pattern is of my own devising. It'll be twin size when done - it's to be a Christmas gift for someone whose favorite colors are purple and turquoise.
