My First Attempt at a Celtic Knot
#22
Update:
This was so pretty I decided to make a little miniature out of it. Only thing - I spritzed this to remove some of the marking pen I used and now the knot applique is doing a bit of crinkling. Anyway to avoid that?? Anyone know? I liked it nice and FLAT like it was when I first applied it. Should I just avoid wetting it after quilting? Hit it with a hot mini-iron? I want to do some marking on my big quilt too - maybe I should use something that erases with heat instead of water soluble marking pens.

Didi, you know what? I found these knots on a website that shares tattoo art!!! I printed out the knots in the shapes that I like and traced them onto freezer paper! I used a Clover bias tape maker and double sided fusible tape to adhere them to my fabric for stitching. Then I just used silk thread and a very small stitch to sew them down.
