My first attempt at a row by row whole cloth quilt

Here's a peek at my first three rows of what will be a whole cloth quilt. I started this to challenge my free motion skills. Never thought I would be interested in making a whole cloth quilt, but this process has been so rewarding. If interested, the online instructor is Jeanne Harrison.Name: image.jpeg

Its wonderful, Mavis! What a great pattern! I do mini-whole cloths by hand. Amazing what you have done by machine!

Fabulous quilting! At least you were open to trying a new method and found that it worked for you. It is a beautiful technique.

Absolutely stunning! I love how you have used a different color thread. It gives more interest to that row.

Can you share what fabric, threads, and batting you are using? I might attempt to give this a try.

Thanks so much for sharing with all of us!

enjoyed seeing this and it never would have occurred to me to do a whole
cloth, row by row...how ingenious! It's way less overwhelming an idea!

Just amazing quilting. Our FMQing group, self led as we all bought machines there, have done several Jeanne Harrison projects. She breaks it down, both in print and in YouTube, so that it is achievable. I think you have to belong to her group on Facebook though?
