    Your block is beautiful. I think the simpler the border the better so as not to detract from the block.

    Very pretty and I think a braid would look nice, especially if you like to challenge yourself. I like to do different things also and stretch myself.

    Great job on your first carpenter's star. As to boarders you should look on google.com at images for carpenter's star. There are some great ideas.
