Any project that is worth your time can be expensive. I see so many quiting projects on this Board. You can tell if much time and much expense has been offered,, It is a craft for all. Those who have little but the love of quilting and those who spare no expense, So take your time and really enjoy this project.

Hi there, as no one is on the Board at the moment I will tell you the secret of steam a seam. Comes in light and heavy weight. I use Steam a Seam2 for all my applique. It a paper which has two sides which can be bonded. In other words you draw your design on the sticky side put it on the wrong side of your material, press it on to your fabric, remove the paper and you have another sticky side to bond on to you quilt.

Clear as mud heh ???

Elle :D

I'm using it now. Kind of works pretty good. Thanks for the info though.

Cleaning gunk from your iron - ironing over salt works too.

You apply this to the wrong side of your fabric?

Yes thats right. Then remove the backing paper when it is cooled and press directly on to your chosen fabric. Easy peasy lemon squeezy LOL

i love steam a seam products, but gotta be careful that you don't buy more than you are going to use in a reasonable amount of time. The paper can try out and get crinkley and then it does not stick as well and makes it harder to use! That said...it is my first go-to when I am doing applique!
